I’m Jim. My career has had many turns, some good and some unexpected. I have had a full career, starting with a small business, served as an electronics technician in the military, and over 28 years  working as a Senior IT Technician in a small US Federal agency.  In addition to co-leading an agency  help desk, I provided my organizations with business process improvement and Project Management.  Now, I split my time providing consulting services to microbusinesses and providing Direct Services to clients who suffer the consequences of drug addiction, homelessness, and mental illness. Much of my work is volunteer but I sometimes work as a nanny, tutor, companion, and mentor. I also provide date-night childcare!

In my spare time, I love cooking, music, and working on my projects. My projects deal with startup and struggling MicroBusinesses. I started learning about these organizations in my research for my Master’s and Ph.D. programs. I have had the privilege of working with hundreds of these small intimate organizations. I currently mentor a few businesses in the United States and in the Philippines.
