Pestaner Services

Fees My charge is dependant on the number of hours I am assigned per week and the number of hours I receive each day. You can see a description of what services I provide and my current rates on my website: pestaner.com/services If I work weekly, you may pay me on a designated day of the week. Cash is not required but appreciated. It is also acceptable to pay by check or the CASH or Venmo or Zelle APP. I provide pro bono services for some families and agencies so feel free to discuss financial issues with me. if you need to discuss your need for a flexible arrangement or you have unusual circumstances.

Note: Please discuss reporting requirements with me. I have worked with agencies that required daily or weekly reports. As a case and program manager, I provided monthly and ad hoc status reports. I use CARE.COM for meeting clients but I handle pay independently; I expect you to pay any taxes. I will deal with any agency reporting requirements (ie daily reports) as long as it does not exceed 10 minutes for each hour worked.

Additional Expenses If I spend under $5 during a visit, I normally don’t ask for a reimbursement. I find time spent outside the home is often beneficial when I need to communicate with my clients and I want them to be receptive. I may buy a drink, a snack, or other inexpensive items as a motivator or support for our communication time. I also often carry snacks and drinks for the same purpose. I gladly accept donations! Please tell me about any allergies I need to know about.
Cancellations and No-Shows If you cancel a booking in advance, I will not charge a fee; however, if this becomes habitual (e.g. 2 times within 2 months), my call, I will charge the same as if I worked those hours. If there is a no-show, I will charge for 1 hour and the transportation fee using the above habitual “clause”. Please let me know about vacation times in advance.
Medical Attention Thankfully, I have never had a serious incident and I have been working with kids for a long time. I care about my clients and do not want any injuries or hurts of any kind. With that said, I do challenge my clients when I believe that they will be successful which includes exercises, climbing over logs, rocks and trees, trying different sports, trying new foods, etc. I will follow medical, religious, and any other advice you provide for me while I consider opportunities to challenge my clients. I need emergency contact information and what I need to do in an emergency, in writing. I am always open to hearing suggestions, criticisms, and even praise! Please let me know about any conditions, allergies, etc so I can do the best job for your son or daughter. The most important part is that we communicate! But when I accept responsibility for going out into the community with your loved one, you are allowing me to make my best judgment for their care.
